Welcome to the Department of English!
Pupils are timetabled for 4 periods of English per week throughout S1 and S2.
As they prepare for National Qualifications, S3 pupils will embark on a N3/4/5 pathway in English, and will continue this into S4. As well as English pupils will also work towards a Literacy Award at level 4 or 5.
In S5 and S6, pupils undertaking English will undertake one of the following qualifications:
- N5 English
- H English
- Level 6 Communication and Literature
The department also offer Advanced Higher English in S6.
