Together with our friends in many of the local schools and nurseries we are embarking on a new shared project. The aim of this project is to give parents ideas to help them to help support their child’s literacy development.

Each week our families will receive a challenge sheet home. Each child is asked to complete at least one challenge from the sheet. For each challenge they complete they will receive a stamp on their card. There will be a different focus each week. Please send in pictures of the children doing their challenges we would love to see them.

We have 2 additional staff members starting this month. Carolyn Bennett will be starting as Lunchtime Supervisor. Stehpanie Manson will be starting as a Early Learning and Childcare Officer. We would like to welcome them to the Todholm Team.

LOVE & LEARN 2018 presentation

School Registration takes place on Wednesday 10th January (surname A-L) and Thursday 11th January 2018 (surname M-Z).

On Monday 21st November we ran our first Family Book Bug Session. The session was led by Miss Kennedy.

Thank you to all the parents who attended and actively participated in the session. It was good to see so many families taking part.

We plan on running more of these sessions in 2017. Watch this space for dates.

Thank you to the two parents who attended the meeting on Friday 30th September. All parents and carers are welcome to attend the Parent Committee Meetings. The meetings are a great opportunity to meet other parents, hear about the nursery and also have your say.

I have attached a copy of the minutes for those unable to attend.

The next meeting will be on Friday 2nd December at 12.15pm in the nursery. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
