Flexible Learning Resource (FLR)

St. Paul’s Flexible Learning Resource (FLR) is a non-denominational, specialist provision based within St. Paul’s Primary School. The FLR supports children with a variety of additional support needs from local Renfrewshire primary schools. Following central assessment, children are allocated support from the FLR.

The skilled team of FLR Teachers, Key Worker, and ASNAs work closely together to help children break down the barriers to their learning and reach their true potential. The team work in collaboration with the children’s own schools to promote inclusion and provide coaching and modelling, where appropriate. They also liaise with a variety of services to ensure their practices are continually evolving to meet the needs of the children they support.

Within the FLR there are three Anchor Classes where children can learn key skills to transfer into their mainstream settings. The Anchor Classes run from 9am until 2:45pm. Each child has a bespoke timetable of when they access the Anchor Classes. Children have lunches and breaks with the rest of St. Paul’s Primary School. They wear their own school uniforms when they are in the Anchor Classes.

St. Paul’s Flexible Learning Resource firmly believe in treating each child as an individual and seeing the communication in all behaviour. They endeavour to ensure every child is getting what they need, when they need it.
