Anti-Bullying

Renfrewshire Council is committed to the social, emotional and mental well-being of children and young people.  Renfrewshire Council’s latest Anti-Bullying Policy was launched in August 2018 and has been developed to reflect updated national guidance and the views of students, parents, and staff.

You can view a copy of the policy here.

The policy stresses the importance of involving the whole school community – pupils, parents and all the staff in the school. If you or your child has a concern about bullying you should speak to someone at school. It can be the head teacher, the class teacher, a classroom assistant, or in some schools, a buddy or playground friend that is an older pupil.

You can find information on the website of Respectme, Scotland’s anti-bullying service. The site has a number of useful publications on cyber bullying and a guide for parents and carers.

Advice for parents is also available from Parentline on:

0800 028 22 33.

We have developed our own Respect for All policy which is in-line with Renfrewshire Council’s policy and has also been created after consultation with our staff, pupils and families.  Our Respect for All policy was updated in 2021. Please click on the image below to view the policy:
