NDCS www.ndcs.org.uk Offers support to children with a hearing loss, their families and professionals working with hearing impaired young people.  Also offers opportunities for young people to meet and socialise, and support for parents and carers.
Action on Hearing Loss – now reverted back to its original name, RNID www.actiononhearingloss.org.uk/ A charity offering support to parents and carers of those with hearing loss, deafness and tinnitus.  Now RNID however the link still works
West of Scotland Deaf Children’s Society http://www.wsdcs.org.uk/ Offers local meetings and support for deaf children.
Hearing Link https://www.hearinglink.org/about-us/ A charity probably mainly aimed at adults however they have some very good information eg on lip reading and a shop.  They are a merger of the British Association of the Hard of Hearing, LINK Centre for Deafened People and Hearing Dogs for the Deaf
Hear Together https://www.heartogether.org.uk/ A brand new charity to help you connect & communicate to live well with your hearing loss.    This also gives  access to  research publications produced by The Ear Foundation (The Ear Foundation closed in March 2020)
Contact contact.org.uk/ A national charity for families with disabled children.  They provide information, advice and support and bring families together so they can support each other.
UK Deafblind Scotland dbscotland.org.uk/ Campaigns for the rights of the deafblind community and provides a range of services, support, training and information.

Scottish Cochlear Implant Programme http://www.sciponline.co.uk/ The Scottish Cochlear Implant Programme was established at Crosshouse Hospital in 1988 and is funded by the NHS.

Access Scottish Theatre www.accessscottishtheatre.com/ Gives information about accessible performances at theatres in Scotland for Deaf, Hearing Impaired & visually impaired audiences.
Cinema Exhibitors’ Association (CEA) Card www.ceacard.co.uk/ 90% of UK cinemas give a complimentary ticket for someone accompanying a disabled/VI/HI cinema-goer. To qualify, you need proof of disability, a photo and it costs £6 for 1 year. See the website for details on how to apply.
