At Ralston, sciences are linked to topics or are taught as stand alone subjects. We will utilise a variety of learning and teaching approaches to encourage problem solving, analytical independent thinking and collaborative working. Work in science is often linked to literacy, numeracy and skills in technology.
Our learners will be encouraged to ask questions, plan and carry out experiments, collect and record evidence and report on their findings. The main approach we encourage are observing and exploring, classifying, fair testing and finding an association. We aim to encourage a lifelong interest in science.
