Wishing everyone a Happy and healthy New Year. Thank you so much for all the kind wishes, cards and gifts at Christmas. It was very thoughful. Hope you all had a lovely time over the festive holidays.
The children have settled well into their new classroom and have enjoyed catching up with each other.
Our PE this term will be on a Tuesday and Wednesday. If your child could bring their PE kit, including indoor shoes on these days. Many thanks.
On Friday afternoon the children will have the opportunity to enjoy a Christmas Read and Munch with their classmates. This is an opportunity to read together and share favourite stories and characters.
Your child is welcome to bring a small Christmas treat and a favourite Christmas Book for this activity.
It has been brought to our attention that some people are having trouble using the google meets. Please use the meeting information issued on the letters. You may need to have a Gmail account to access. This can be quickly created.
We are looking forward to our Christmas presentation tomorrow afternoon at 2pm. Children received a letter home today containing the Google meet details needed to join. We will open the Google meet at 1:50 pm and will start 2:00 pm.
Children are asked to wear school uniform and are welcome to wear a Christmas hat, headband or some tinsel if they would like but it is not necessary.

Explore the world around you to find other words that use the o_e spelling rule. We would love to hear these words in class.
We would also like you to create a sentence of your own. Your sentence should include at least one or more of the spelling rule words. For example: Tom had a cold nose.
All homework should be returned by Friday for your teacher to mark.
Maths
The maths homework grid should be attached to your homework assignment. Remember to only complete one activity a week. The activities chosen should be different each week. This is to give the children some variety.
Reading
Your child has been issued a new book to read at home. If possible you could discuss the content of the book. For example: what your child liked or disliked or predictions about characters. This helps support your child’s comprehension skills.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with your child’s teacher.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend. The children had a fantastic day.
Everyone looked brilliant with their jumpers, tops and accessories. There was lovely Christmas music playing in the dinner hall as the children were served their Christmas dinner. After lunch the children enjoyed a Christmas photo shoot and then a fashion parade.
The classroom was filled with smiling faces and lots of laughter, it was a terrific way to end the day.
Each child in class P2b and P2k have a line from our Christmas poem to practise, which has been sent home today. We would be grateful if you could check your child has their line in their school bag.
We hope you all had a lovely weekend. We have lots to look forward to in school this week.
This week the spelling rule is i_e.
