French Birthdays

We have been learning about the months of the year.  We are trying hard to listen to the months, and jump up for our own birthday month.  Some children are a little unsure of when their birthday is, so if you could help with this at home by reinforcing when your child’s birthday is,  we would be very grateful.

We have been listening to a French Birthday song.  To listen to it at home, click  here

Many thanks,

Sticks

I hope you are having a wonderful long weekend.

This week is ‘Maths Week’ and we have lots of fabulous maths activities planned.  We are hoping to do some outdoor activities and would be most grateful if anyone was able to bring some sticks into school  for use during some of the activities.

If you are able to gather some sticks from your garden or local park areas that would be wonderful. Please bring them to school safely in your school bag,  give them to Miss Frew, Miss Gilbert or Mrs Simpson and we will keep them safe until we need them.

Many thanks,

Mrs Simpson

Welcome Back!

What stars you all are in Primary 2S!

We had a great first day back, beginning to settle back into the school routines.

Miss Gilbert and I are loving getting to know you all, and cannot wait for all the fun learning experiences we are going to share throughout the year.

We will issue more information on homework and routines soon, but we wanted to let you know that our PE days are Thursdays and Fridays.  It would be much appreciated if you could ensure PE kits are sent into school by next Thursday.

Many thanks,

Miss Gilbert and Mrs Simpson

PE – Friday 31st May

As the gym hall is being used tomorrow afternoon Miss Hunter is planning on taking the class outside for gym.  She would appreciate it if everyone could have suitable trainers for outside and also a waterproof coat.

Many thanks,

Mrs Simpson

Packaging Plea

Next week Primary 2 are going to be learning all about healthy and unhealthy food choices.

We would really appreciate it if, as you finish different types of foods, that you send the empty packaging into school for the children to explore and sort.

Many thanks,

The Primary 2 Team

Bake Sale Reminder

Apologies, I forgot to remind the children today that we will be going to the P1 Bake Sale tomorrow morning.

If you are happy for your child to buy something at the bake sale please provide them with some money.  We are going before morning interval, so they could buy something for their snack.

Many thanks,

Mrs Simpson

P2S Talent Show Auditions

Unless  otherwise informed, if your child has put him/herself forward for a talent show audition, their audition will be held on THURSDAY  6th JUNE, at lunch time.

I will remind them of their time on the day, but it would be a great help if you could make sure they have any music, costumes or props with them on the day.

Many thanks,

Mrs Simpson
