Committees

Our committees this session are:

Health and Wellbeing Committee

Promoting health and wellbeing across the school, both indoors and out. Our Health committee supports pupils across the school in a number of ways. They are great role models to their peers and lead the school in promoting healthy eating, positive play and a range of mindfulness activities.

Eco Committee

As a group, the Eco committee are dedicated to making positive changes in the school which lead to a more sustainable school environment. These passionate pupils from p1-7  have contributed to a number of positive changes such as reducing the amount of litter and raising awareness about sustainable issue which impact our local community.

STEM Committee

The STEAM committee aims to inspire interest and participation in Science, Technology, Engineering,  and Mathematics. The pupils in the STEM committee are working towards becoming Young STEM Leaders, who lead and mentor their peers during STEAM related activities.

Literacy Committee

The Literacy committee aims to continue to encourage reading and writing for enjoyment through-out the school. They are involved in organising Literacy  events such as World Book Day and Book Week Scotland and meet regularly to discuss and share their love of books.  #Langbanklovesreading

Fundraising Committee

The fundraising committee use their leadership skills to  help  organise school events. They have organised some very successful fundraisers such as  a valentines  raffle and Halloween pop up shop. This year they are in the process of setting up a playtime toast cafe. All funds raised are divided between  the school’s chosen charity and a whole school treat for the children. Pupils execute their pupils voice by voting to decide the charity and school treat each year.
