Strategy Club
At lunchtimes on a Tuesday, Mr.Cundy the Head Teacher runs a Strategy Club for the Primary 6 and 7 children.
The purpose of the club is to encourage children to play strategy games. Most of these games have an historical theme although sometimes they involve fantasy or science fiction genres.
The games involve developing skills such: problem solving; co-operation; chance and uncertainty; role play and imagination. The games can also be a source of inspiration for creative writing.
The games aim to recreate historical or imagined scenarios in which player need to achieve a given objective. Dice are used to add an element of chance.
