Welcome from the Head Teacher

‘Our Values are Kind, Welcoming, Supportive & Determined’

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Kilbarchan Primary School. At the heart of our school are our values: Kind, Welcoming, Supportive and Determined, which guide everything we do. We believe that positive, respectful relationships are the foundation of a successful school, and we are committed to ensuring every child feels safe, valued and included.

Our nurturing approaches, based on the nurture principles, help us to create an environment where children’s wellbeing is prioritised and their individual needs are understood. This allows every pupil to thrive, both personally and academically, as they develop the confidence and resilience needed for learning and for life.

We place a strong emphasis on high-quality learning and teaching, setting high expectations and supporting children to achieve their very best. Our curriculum is designed to provide challenge, creativity and enjoyment, while also ensuring that every child makes progress and develops the skills they will need for the future.

We are proud to be a school that celebrates diversity, promotes equity and inclusion, and works hard to ensure that all children and families feel part of our community. We know that strong partnerships between home, school and the wider community are key to success, and we look forward to working closely with you to support your child’s journey through Kilbarchan Primary.

Together, we can ensure that our children not only achieve their potential but also grow into kind, respectful and responsible individuals, ready to make a positive contribution to society.

With my warmest regards,

Fiona MacKenzie
