Room 2

P2 were lucky enough to have 2 trips last week! They had an amazing time digging for artefacts at the All Hallows’ site, I get the feeling there are some budding Indiana Jones in our midst!

 

P2 had a wonderful time exploring Lunderston Bay. We found starfish, loads of winkles and mussels, some  super long worms, and lots of crabs! Groups explored the beach, making pictures out of debris, and thought up words that described how they felt on the beach…brrr was a popular choice! Thank you to Ranger Mike who taught us lots about seaside creatures. @Clydemuirshiel

A few pupils in the class have lost jumpers/cardigans and various other items of clothing recently, could you check for any clothing not belonging to your child which has been accidentally taken home please?

Primary 2 had a great time designing circus bunting for Parent’s Evening and the Open Afternoon on Thursday. They worked independently, and as a team to help each other with cutting, their designs and have created some amazing designs.

P2 have been writing about an animal escaping from their circus! They wrote a letter to the famous mouse, Detective Hermelin, asking for help, and made ‘Escaped’ posters to spread the word. We’ve also been working on our circus performances…

We started a new numeracy topic today, here are th class on a measure treasure hunt.

We had a super fun day last Thursday in our pyjamas, having a visit from Recycling Eco-Drama, and writing books!

Amanda McColl visited primary 2 and we learnt about good friendships.

We enjoyed playing on the bouncy hoppers during golden time.
