Teaching of the sciences reflects the important part science plays in our Scottish heritage and the everyday applications of science in our lives. It provides opportunities to develop the natural curiosity and fascination of children in new discoveries and technologies. Within Sciences, the following areas are studied throughout P1 – 7.

Topics can be stand alone or part of Interdisciplnary Learning whereby science knowledge and skills can be understood and applied in a context.

The school recognises the important role in promoting STEM subjects within the primary sector and learning is often enhanced through close partnerships with outside agencies in this area.
