Technologies

Our school Technologies curriculum is designed to:

      • Support learning, life and work skills
      • Equip pupils with essential digital competencies
      • Promote innovation, creativity and independence
      • Build confidence in using a range of digital tools and resources

This aligns with Curriculum for Excellence Technologies organisers:

    • Digital literacy
    • ICT to enhance learning
    • Computing science
    • Food and textile technologies
    • Craft, design and engineering

Through learning in Technology, the children are able to develop their confidence and skills to embrace and use technologies now and in the future.  Children are encouraged to promote creative thinking and become innovative and critical designers. Much of the learning is hands on, active and involves interdisciplinary projects across all other curriculum areas. Each classroom is equipped with an interactive SMART Board, iPads and chrome books. The school also has a ‘Class in a box set of 30 Chromebooks which is timetabled to each class across the week. We review our technology equipment regularly and will continue to enhance this on an ongoing basis.
