Dear members of our Fordbank family,
It is with immense pride and joy that I write to you as we celebrate a remarkable milestone — 60 years of our school. This anniversary is not only a moment to reflect on our history, but also an opportunity to celebrate our values of Hope, Equity, Achievement, Respect and Teamwork that have shaped our school into what it is today.
For six decades, this school has stood at the heart of our community, nurturing generations of young people, inspiring curiosity, encouraging resilience, and fostering a lifelong love of learning. We honour the vision and dedication of those who founded our school, as well as the countless staff members, past and present, who have devoted their passion and expertise to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed.
To our parents and carers, both past and present, I extend my deepest thanks. Your support, encouragement, and partnership have been invaluable. You are the foundation of our success — working alongside us, championing your children, and helping to build the strong, caring environment that makes our school so special.
I would also like to express heartfelt gratitude to the local residents and wider community. Your ongoing involvement, support, and pride in the school have enriched our journey. Whether through attending events, offering opportunities, or simply being positive advocates for the school, you have helped us thrive.
To our students, you are the living legacy of this school. Your achievements, kindness, and ambition inspire us every day and ensure that the next chapter of our story is as bright as the last.
As we celebrate 60 years, we look ahead with confidence and determination. The world may change, but our commitment to excellence, inclusion, and community will remain constant. Together, we will continue to build a school where every child is supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.
Thank you for being part of this incredible journey.
With warmest regards,
Cara Wadsworth, Head Teacher
We celebrated by hosting an Open afternoon for pupils, parents 7 carers and friends, past and present. Pupils also performed at two sold out concert shows of music through the decades!
