Thank you to everyone who bought 1kg of rice from P4 Fairtraders. We have sold all 90kg which means a child can go to High School for a year in Malawi. Enough money has been made by the farmer to pay the school fees.

Fairtrade Art Competition
Every class took part in this year’s competition which was to draw and colour a picture which included the Fairtrade logo. Every class had one winner and the overall winners were Dylan P4a, Jennifer P6a and Sofia P5b. The prizes were Fairtrade chocolate and key rings. The judges were the P4 Fairtrade committee. All the entries were very good and the best are now on display in school.

Road Race Stars
Primary 6 and 7 pupils did us proud last week at the Renfrewshire Schools Road Race when they swept the board, coming in 1st overall in the P6 Girls, P6 Boys and P7 Girls events. A special mention must go to Sarah Lyle who came 1st and Caitlin Mackenzie who came 3rd in the P7 Girls race and Josh Buchanan who came 2nd in the P7 Boys event. We think you are all stars!
Our Buddies are Brilliant!
We were delighted to welcome to the school some of the children who will be starting Primary 1 in August 2017. They brought along their Mums and Dads to try out our school lunches, met their P6 buddies and spent some time taking part in a range of activities in one of our P1 classrooms. It was hard to tell who had the most fun – our P6 pupils who did a brilliant job of welcoming the younger children or the nursery pupils who looked like they could easily have spent the day here!
