What a beautiful day we had to release our brown trout into the River Gryffe!
We have been looking after the fish eggs and hatched alevin for 5 weeks now. We had to keep the water cold by putting in ice bottles.
After a few mishaps and a few extra donated fish we had plenty to go and release into the Gryffe.
We learned loads from Lesley the scientist from the Clyde River Foundation and it has been an interesting journey.
Now the fish’s journeys have begun!

On the 2 March 2017 Primary 6 were very cultured as they went on a trip to The Glasgow City Halls to see the BBC Symohony Orchestra play 10 famous pieces of classical music.
These included pieces such as Mars from The Planets and Beethoven’s 5th Symphony.
We were wonderfully entertained and it reminded us again of the families of the orchestra as well as creating more of an interest in classical music.
What a bargain for £1!
