P3/2 had a fantastic trip to Lunderston Bay

The sun was shining and we had a fantastic day exploring the seashore with a ranger from Clyde  Muirshiel. We learned about all sorts of different creatures as well as having a picnic and a play.

Barnacles live on the same rock their whole lives. When they are underwater, they open up and put out their tentacles to catch food.
We found a bootworm that was more than 3 metres long. It did look just like a giant lace.
This is one of the starfish that we found. The starfish has 5 legs and, if it loses a leg, it can grow another one.
