    Bishopton Primary is now moving to an online booking system for all Active School Clubs.
    On this page you will be directed to all available clubs (with the exception of P4-7 Football). Using this online system will cut down on the number of forms you will have to complete and return to the school.

  • Bishopton Primary Healthy and Active Pupils

    A massive well done to all the pupils across the school who participated in a variety of healthy and active clubs in Term  1 and Term 2. It was great to see a dedication to get involved with sport, physical activity and play.

  • Thank you from the Sport Committee

    The Sport Committee would like to thank our Community Partners for all of the  work they have put in as part of our extra-curricular clubs. We hope you like the cards we created and hope to see you next year.

  • Outdoor PE

    It was great to see the Sport Scotland Gold Award flag flying high as  P7S completed their circuits as part of our Outdoor PE. I was very impressed with the determination of everyone.

  • School Football Team Update

    The football team played against Barsail Primary on Wednesday in a very close encounter. Both teams played some nice passing football and we were very unlucky to not be ahead at half time. The game was played in great spirit but we sadly couldn’t score the vital goal.
    Well done to Barsail and to everyone who played.

     

  • School Football Team Update

    Well done to the football team who once again done the school proud. They put in a strong performance against a resilient Inchinnan side. The game was played in tough conditions and Inchinnan were not helped by an injury at a key moment in the game. We hope their player is okay and wish them all the best for the rest of the campaign.

    Next up is a very tough game against Barsail Primary.

     

  • School Football Team Update

    Congratulations to the team who put in a brilliant performance against a very hard working Langbank Primary to maintain their excellent start to the league.

    It is great to see everyone working so hard in class, at training and during games.

  • Sport at Bishopton Primary

    The Sport Committee have been busy capturing the action at our extra curricular clubs. It has been a busy term with football, minikickers, badminton, judo, tennis, gymnastics, dancing and much more. Here are only a few of the pictures.

  • Football Team

    The school football team were in action yesterday and put in a great team performance against Rashielea Primary. They were fantastic to watch and showed a great team spirit throughout. Well done!

  • House Captains 2017

    A massive congratulations to our new House Captains and Vice Captains. After many excellent interviews, we are pleased to announce our new captains for 2017/18. They look forward to meeting you all.

    Please use a variety of websites to enhance your mental agility. This is an aspect of our learning which everyone could do with some improvement.

    Here are your activities for the week ahead. If you have any problems, please let me know straight away.

    Language/Topic

    • Complete your reading book in preparation for your book review challenge.
    • Bring in pictures of yourself for your autobiography. We will be planning this on Wednesday.


      Maths

    • Primary 1 pictures – Please bring in a picture of you in school uniform.
    • Park Mains Visit – Please wear your Bishopton uniform. This should include a white shirt and tie, navy or grey trousers or skirt and black shoes (not trainers). We will leave on the bus at 8.25am on Thursday morning. Please be in the huts for 8.15am.  You make your own way home on Thursday after school and to and from school on your own on Friday.
    • P.E – Cricket on Tuesday.

    – Please come dressed in your house colours and ready to represent your house with pride!

    Wednesday 24th May 2017 – Transition Event at Park Mains
    – Remember you will need a snack and packed lunch for this event. Park Mains have asked if we can wear school colours (eg Polo shirt or school jumper) to help identify pupils.

    We still require P1 pictures of you in your school uniform for a leavers activity.

  • P7S Cricket

    Today we continued to learn more about cricket and developed our swing and catching. Let’s keep listening carefully as we continue our competitive games.

  • Iris Anderson competition

    The next event we took part in was the long jump. Have a look at our attempts to break the current records and our measurement skills.

    • Spelling – Punctuation and Grammar 3 in your Spelling Homework jotters for Friday 19th May.
    • Personal Reading Challenge – Throughout the year, please read extra texts on top of the class novels. Record what you have read and complete the tasks on the Personal Reading Challenge sheet.
    • Reading New books have been given out and should be completed for Monday 22/5/17.

    Maths
    Please complete Maths Revision 3 for Monday 22/5/17
    Please continue to use a variety of websites to enhance your mental agility. I am still looking for an improvement with our Big Maths Beat that Scores. Well done to those who met their target this week. This is an aspect of our learning which everyone could do with some improvement.

  • Iris Anderson award

    Next up for Primary 7S was the javelin. We looked at the throwing technique and the aerodynamics of a successful throw. Well done for some great scores on a windy afternoon. Next time, if we concentrate fully on the challenge, some records could be broken!

  • Primary 6/7 Football Team

    Yesterday the football team had a bounce game and a penalty competition amongst ourselves as our opponents couldn’t make the game.

    The boys worked very hard and the wonderful weather made it even more enjoyable. It was also great to see so many supporters come to watch us!

    Primary 7S began the competition with the 30m sprint.

  • Iris Anderson award 2017

    Primary 7M started the Iris Anderson award with the 30m sprint today.  It was fiercely contested with some excellent scores.  I look forward to the next event!

  • P6/7 Football team

    The team competed in a 9 goal thriller against a combined Langbank/Inchinnan team. The boys played some excellent passing football but came up against a goalkeeper in excellent form.  Well done to both teams for an entertaining performance.

    • We will be watching the film version of Goodnight Mister Tom on Friday 31st March. As it is a PG, we would appreciate if you would let us know if you do not wish your child to watch the film so we can arrange an alternative activity.
    • Tempest Photography, Tuesday 28th – Photos for Young Scots will be taken. Everyone will have their photo taken

  • P6/7 STEM Club

    Today we attempted the one minute challenge. We had to create and then adapt  our water clock to empty in exactly 1 minute.

    Lots of great fun although a little bit wet!
