This year is Bishopton Primary School’s 60th anniversary. Each stage will be focussing on one decade (60s-20s) and learning about what life was like for the people in Bishopton in that time.
We would love to invite anyone who attended Bishopton Primary School or who lived in the village to visit our school to talk about their memories and experiences. You could write us a letter/email, prepare a presentation or just come in to answer some questions from our young investigators.
What was school like in your time at our school? What was your favourite song or film at that time? What piece of clothing or toy did you own or really want? Can you remember what the teachers were like and what you played at playtime?
If you are able to help us out, please contact the school office and let them know your contact details and what decade you are able to talk to us about. A teacher will then contact you to arrange a time and give you more details.
If you would rather not talk but have any interesting facts or photos/articles about the school and village from these decades, we would love to see these too.
Please see the decade each stage will be researching.

Hi I would love to attend a reunion ..I was a villager and attendee at bishopton primary in the early eighties …I think my teacher was Mrs McEwan in 1985 in p5.…. I’m now an illustrator
What a great way to celebrate 60th anniversary! Happy to help in anyway needed! Both my daughters and one of my son in laws went through Bishopton primary during 80s and 90s and my grandsons are now in p4 and p5 which means my grandsons will be learning about the decades their mum dad and auntie went to the school.
I would be happy to cone in and answer questions for you investigators. I attended bishopton school in 1958 (known then as Erskine Primary) and left in summer 1965. I dont know how good my memory is but may have some things I could share. I would love to be part of this as my 3 grandchild now go to this school.
