Good morning. We have received information on a few occasions this week regarding issues with traffic flow through the village.

The main problems are arising from cars parked too close to the junction of Old Greenock Road and Ferry Road. This makes it very difficult for larger vehicles and the school buses in particular to turn.

On two mornings this week the bus has become ‘stuck’ when trying to turn and the traffic on the surrounding roads has become gridlocked. The situation was only resolved when the parked car was moved.

We fully appreciate that parking is difficult during peak periods but please be mindful of others and only park in places that are unlikely to cause problems for other road users.
