Today we celebrated Maths Week Scotland by having a full day of fun and challenging maths and numeracy activities. We had five activities throughout the day with different teachers and ended with a Maths Relay with all of the P4-7 pupils. Everyone put in a great effort and tried there best.
One of the activities was looking at the importance and relevance of maths and numeracy in our everyday lives. We brainstormed ideas about where and when we use maths and then used these to draw them on a hexagon. Why a hexagon, you ask? Well, so that we could display all of our ideas together by tessellating them! I was really impressed with your knowledge of how maths is used in your lives. I think your drawings will show the whole school how and why maths is everywhere!
