Barsail school uniform is as follows:

Please note black is not permitted as a jumper/cardigan or garment worn over shirt or polo shirt.
Please remove earrings and tie long hair back on P.E. days.
‘What does my child need for starting P1?
For starting P1, it would be great if your child has a homework package. Any type is fine or a Barsail branded one can be bought from Gilmour Sports in Paisley:

It would be great if you could put a keyring onto the handle of your child’s homework package for easy identification as well as their name under the flap. They all get stored in a box together and telling 24 identical folders apart can be quite a challenge! 🙂
A school bag is not necessary as storage is limited and your child’s homework package should be sufficient for their needs. If you do want to get a school bag, a small one would be best as they will have very little to carry in it.
All children should bring a water bottle and snack to school every day; these can be brought in their homework package or lunch bag. If they are having a packed lunch, they will need a lunch bag of some sort with their name on it.
Until the October break, we will only change gym shoes for going to gym. After this your child will require gym shorts as well as their shoes to change into. It would be great if they brought their gym shoes and shorts in a small drawstring bag that can be kept on their peg. You will be told when your child’s gym days are and it would be helpful if they wore a polo shirt on these days.
**IMPORTANT**PLEASE ENSURE THEIR NAME IS ON EVERYTHING – NO MATTER HOW SMALL! 🙂
They can bring a pencil case if they wish but this is not required as all resources are provided. Our teaching and learning is done through play and the children have free access to all the resources they need throughout the day. It is one less thing for them to carry! 🙂

A House system operates within the school. Your child will be placed in one of four houses, each of which has an appointed captain and vice captain.
The House names are: Â Bute, Jura, Mull and Skye.
