I want to dream Â
I want to dream good dreams Â
Not the dreams that leave you in an ice cold sweat Â
Not the dreams that make you feel like long nailed fingers are about to wrap around your throat and strangle you Â
I want to dream like forests about clean running water and warm sunlight Â
I want to dream like the ocean about all the different types of fish that they are shelteringÂ
I want to dream like space of the many universes and nebulas across the universeÂ
I want to dream like the sky of having a nice puff from their sugar to create clouds and of watching the many humans go about their business down belowÂ
I do not want to dream about clocked figures haunted houses and mad DoctorsÂ
 All I want is dreamsÂ
 Good dreams
by Finlay Hunt
It’s very good
Well done Finlay. The contrast between good and bad images in your dreams make your poem powerful. I hope your (good) dreams come true.
