I laid down on my bed
and Jura my cat jumped up on my desk chair.
I pulled her over so she could see me,
she opened one sleepy… intelligent eye
I said to her I wish I had a purpose like you.
Her small fuzzy ears turned toward me like minute radar dishes,
I asked her where is my place in this world, what should I use this life for?
What should I do with my childhood?
What should I do with my teenage years?
What should I do with my adult hood?
And what should I do when I’m old, my hair as white as snow?
What should I do about my upcoming year at Secondary school?
She purred and seemed to say, don’t think about the future but the present
What should I do with my life what should  I be?Â
She closed her eyes and seemed to say,
whatever you want to be.
