I come from blue skies and blistering cold,
from warm hugs and cold goodbyes,
from waiting ages to go to the bathroom because my sisters always hog it.
I come from bouncing on the trampoline in the rain,
from old CDs forever waiting on the shelves,
from towering book shelves,
and always being fitted for hats my mum is making.
I come from white walls and swinging on bunkbeds,
from big gardens and tall rhubarb,
from a village with beautiful walks.
I come from small floods and rare snow,
from cold mornings and long bus rides.
I come from Dundee but I live somewhere else.
I come from home and for me home is Where I’m Happiest<3
