Behind The Door

I opened the magical door and felt a warm breeze blow softly through my hair,
saw a gaping hole inches in front of my feet, it pulls me in.

I fall.

I opened the magical door and tasted hurt, tasted laughter and tasted anxiety,
And smelt the fresh scent of tropical flowers, blooming.

I heard screams of joy and pain;
I walk through not knowing what to expect.
I opened the magical door and saw a world crumbling and decaying at my feet.

Animals fleeing and screeching as gas filled the air with poison and spreading them dead on the ground as the gas
washed through their lungs.

This could be our future.

Reality is slipping away from me as I go through the door into other dimensions and other worlds.

But I can’t go back.
