The Table Poem

The Table Poem            by Jaime

A girl came home from school.
She dumped her bag on the table and sanitised her hands.
She took her phone out and checked the time,
five minutes until her Piano lesson.
She put her phone on the table.
She put her homework on the table
.
She dumped her pencil on the table
and sighed.

The girl heard her cat meowing, she put that on the table.
She heard her guinea pigs squeaking upstairs, she put that on the table.
She put her feeling of tiredness on the table.

The girl heard the rain hitting the kitchen window, she put that on the table.
She put her wish of getting a Blackbelt in Math Ninjas on the table. She felt bored, she put that on the table.

The girl looked at the massive pile of stuff on the table.
She thought about the day before, the pile had been much bigger.
