The Floor 

I child uninterested from school, 

Dumped his drenched bag on the floor. 

His damp phone and charger, he tossed that on the floor. 

His work all wet that he didn’t do he put that on the floor too. 

The loud screams from the playground he flung that there. 

The smell of the glue hand sanitizer he also put that there. 

The cold chills coming from the window he fired that on the floor. 

The worries about the big jump in the birks he put that there. 

And the enjoyment of lockdown over he chucked that on the floor as well.
