Last year was dark, overcast and stormy.
Last year was a list of cancelled,
And disappointment. 

Last year was home school and 101 replies to one message,
From 3 people.
Nothing changed however much we pleaded. 

Last year we were in the same storm and different boats, 
the end in sight but beyond our reach. 

Last year we clapped, last year we booed, last year was a panto and no-one enjoyed it.  

Last year there was light through the clouds, fun Infront of the eyes of the devil. 

Last year I did, last year I didn’t, and this year will be different. *
