P3M and P3A have been working together on an ICT project about important people from the Victorian Era.

P3 have been lucky enough to have specialists in teaching tennis! For 5 weeks we will be up on the MUGA learning new skills and working towards a mini tournament.

Here is what some of us thought:

Luke R: It’s been really fun and I feel better at tennis.

Millie: You get to use racquets and balls to practise.

Luke C: I’ve enjoyed having lots and lots of exercise.

Keiran: I think I’m getting better at serving

This term we have been learning all about toys. As a class we created our own toys and a campaign to sell them to other children. Below are our two winners as voted by the class.

On Monday 27th March Megan from Saint Johnstone came to visit Primary 3. She did a fantastic talk and had a personal message from Graham Cummins for the whole of P3. Megan also showed a couple of videos made by Saints and answered lots of interesting questions. The biggest surprise of the day was bringing autographed photographs for each child.

After the talk we all went outside in the sun and did some drills. The children then had the opportunity to work on skills or play a mini-match.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Here is what some of us thought:

P3 all drew their Mum’s for The Courier Mother’s Day special edition. This was published on Monday 20th March. If you click on each picture you can zoom in to see it in better detail.

P3 are very excited as Saint Johnstone’s Megan Moss is coming to visit on Monday 27th March. P3 wrote lots of fantastic letters inviting her to come and visit P3 to talk about how a football club works. She is also going to do some skills sessions with the children.

Megan sent use a picture of the letters we sent.

P3 have been working hard in P.E. and learning about how keeping active helps to keep us fit and healthy. This links to the active part of SHANARRI.

SHANARRI stands for: Safe, Healthy, Active, Nurtured, Achieving, Respected, Responsible and Included.

Congratulations to the winners of the Scottish Poetry Competition from P3! All four P3’s did an excellent job presenting their poems to the whole school. They were able to use fantastic expression and they even used actions to help tell their poem’s story.

Last week we all went to the pantomime. We really enjoyed travelling to Perth and sitting in the concert hall. It was great helping the characters and catching the sweets they threw!

Some of us had never been to a pantomime and thought it was really exciting.

Both P3 classes recently attended a ‘Farm to Fork’ workshop run by Tesco. At the workshop we had the chance to look behind the scenes in Tesco Blairgowrie. We had fun using the staffroom to complete different tasks, including finding different foods with wheat in them. We continued this into the store and had enjoyed using the products in the aisles to find wheat. The highlight of the day was going inside the freezer!
