Our new Eco Committee is working on renewing our Green Flag which we were awarded in June 2022.

 

This time we are focussing on the topics:

• Water
• Energy
• Climate Action

Our chosen Sustainable Development Goal is Life Below Water.

Part of our Green Flag journey was writing an action plan focused on three main subjects, as chosen by the pupils themselves:

• Litter
• Waste
• Food and the Environment

We also focus on the global sustainable development goal Responsible Consumption.

Daily litter picks in our playground are now taking place and we are working to be more responsible in using resources.  We have started composting and try to recycle more of our waste. Both classes are learning about the impact of plastic on the environment, farming and food miles as part of our Eco plan.
