I am Isabel Forrest, Headteacher of Kenmore Primary School. The school is a shared headship school, linked with Grandtully Primary School, which is 12 miles away. Whilst we share common visions, values and aims across both schools, we all work to retain and respect the individuality of each school and community.
We have a skilled committed staff team comprising of one Headteacher and one Principal Teacher (who both work across the two schools), one classroom teacher, two part time teachers for a day a week, three support assistants, a catering assistant, a facilities coordinator and a cleaner.
Our classes are composites and currently comprise P1-4 with 18 pupils and P5-7 with 12 pupils.
Pupils work in vertical groups to develop their skills in Eco and Health. The groups meet once a week to plan and carry out activities, often supported by parents and members of the community. The P7 class serve as Prefects and the Pupil Council, and are actively involved in improving their school to ensure it remains Ambitious, Dynamic and Inspiring.
