Earlier this school session primary 6 and primary 7 children studied the linen and jute industry in Coupar Angus. We grew our flax. The children learned how the flax plan was used to make linen and had a go at spinning and weaving. The children visited Verdant Works in Dundee to research how sacking is made from the jute plant. Artists from the Living Communities Project worked with them to creat two wall hangings celebrating their learning. These are now on display in the main hall.
