Shape
P1/2/3 have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes and have been doing a number of activities related to this.
Yesterday we were even  out in the snow making little villages with 3D shapes.
Enjoy the photos and link through to Shape Games.
Multiplication
We have just started multiplication.
We used cubes to see the difference between 3 lots of 10 and 10 lots of 3 etc.
Here is a link to multiplication games for you to practise at home.
Magnet Game
Wriggly Nativity
P1/2/3Â and Nursery were absolutely fantastic in their production of Wriggly Nativity!
You were all brilliant!
Rugby
P1/2/3  have been improving their rugby skills with rugby coach Stuart Guntley.
Today P1/2/3 were learning to hold the ball properly and how to catch the rugby ball properly in team games.
Forest Schools
This week we revised which leaves come from different trees.
We then used leaves and other signs of autumn to make a picture of a flower.
When making the flower we had to find similar shades of leaves and put these together.
We made frames from sticks too. We were very creative and worked together too.
Hopefully you will agree what wonderful pictures the children made!
Forest School
P1/2/3 had their first taste of forest schools this week.
We learned how to keep safe in the forest, looked at different fungi and made little boats to see if they would float or not.
Enjoy the photos!
The next day we tested all the boats we had made to see if they would float. This is because the stream was too shallow up in the woods.
Floating and Sinking
Today we worked in our co-operative groups to find out what objects floated or sank.
We had some surprising results!
Our Co-operative Groups
The children have now met the new members of their co-operative groups.
They made flags and came up with a name for their group.
