The children explored different artefacts in relation to the Jewish religion.
These included a kipa, a seder plate and torah scrolls. They then tasted examples from the seder plate.

Our Wedding!
As part of our RME project, the children have been learning what churches are used for.
On the day before the Royal Wedding, we had our own little wedding in class and reception/party for the Big Day!
Visit to the Church
Last week P2/3 visited the Church where Reverend Perkins kindly showed us around and explained different items in the church and what they were used for. We even got to go upstairs!
P1/2 have been learning about parts of the Church and what it is used for in RME.

Pancake Day
On Shrove Tuesday the children made pancakes. They were a big success!
As well as improving their baking skills, the children were practising their measuring skills.
Making clay pots
For our topic of Diwali, the children made little clay pots!

St Andrew’s Day
We learnt all about the life of St Andrew and why St Andrew is the patron saint of Scotland. We made little Scottish flags too (Saltire- Greek for Cross).

Easter Activities
P1/2/3 made marvellous Easter bonnets and brought them into class!
They also learned the Easter story, decorated eggs and went on an egg hunt in the park to practise their addition skills.
Maghi
We have been learning about the festival of Maghi in RME which Hindus and Sikhs celebrate.
In class we made a type of rice pudding which we then enjoyed eating!
