The Animal Adventure

On Monday a lady called Heather came in with a camera trap and she told us how to use it. Heather explained what the camera trap does it senses heat and movement and then it takes a photo of the animal. We are going to use our camera trap for discovering what animals are visiting our garden. We found…  Mouse ,pheasant,  Great tit, pigeon, female chaffinch, dunnock and a Blue tit. We put bird seeds and peanuts out for the birds and other animals and we are going  to put out carrots to attract rabbits.

Fundraising Fun

This week P3,4,5 did some research about WWF.

We wanted to help WWF and we wanted to find out what they did and how we could help them.  We also found a writing competition about how to be a tiger protector so we started writing tiger stories!  Megan

We got our box of badges from the RSPB we are really excited because we are going to support RSPB.  Eva

We thought about what culture and heritage means to us and worked with the art teachers from Breadalbane to create pictures about our heritage.  Enzo

We went to Breadalbane for Scottish dancing it was a lot of fun and most of knew a lot of the dances and even when we didn’t know the dances we just joined in and had fun anyway and now we know more dances.  Erin

We are all really looking forward to showcasing our Aquarium Dance next week!

A Bird-tastic Week!

On Monday we took part in the #bigschoolsbirdwatch.  We found out what birds visit our garden and what the most common visitors were.  We also saw a red squirrel scurrying up a tree!

We made our own bird books, we used our sketching skills and then added some paint.  We are really proud of them and we are going to add in some information about the birds.

We would like to raise money for 2 charities this year, WWF and the RSPB.  We have contacted the RSPB to see if we can get a box of badges to sell in the school, they have accepted our request and we are looking forward to selling them.

We have been working hard with Miss Edwards to finish our Aquarium Dance, we are really looking forward to performing it in Perth Concert Hall!

Here’s a sneaky peek at our dance!
