It was great to be able to hold our Sports Day again and to have the support of parents and carers there. The children first of all participated in potted sports and then class races such as running races, sack races and potato and spoon race.

Scottish Celebration Afternoon
We had a fantastic afternoon on Friday 24th. January celebrating everything Scottish!
The children were piped into the hall by Mrs Fridge’s son and then the class winners performed their Scottish poems.
Each class then performed a songs/songs or a Scottish dance.
Mrs Chalamanda and the wonderful Ardoch Strings then performed The Skye Boat song.
Finally the overall class winners of the poetry competition were announced and the Bobby Muir Cup was presented to the overall winner.
Thank you to Mr Mackay and Mrs McGaffney who were our judges, to Mrs Fridge and her son on drums and pipes and thank you to all parents, grandparents and friends of the school who came along!
Wriggly Nativity
Nursery and P1/2 performed Wriggly Nativity this Christmas!
Everyone was wonderful and seemed to enjoy themselves performing on stage. The show was opened by the older children singing beautifully some Christmas songs.
Thank you to everyone who came along to support this event and the Parent Council who ran the raffle.
Class Get Togethers
Visiting the War Memorial
Harvest Service and the Macmillan Coffee Morning.
On the last day of term, all the children in the school performed a song, a poem or a talk about Harvest time.
Parents came along and thoroughly enjoyed this.
After the service we had our Macmillan Coffee Morning, where older children helped to serve delicious home baking contributed by pupils and parents.
Thank you very much to everyone who came along and to those who contributed home baking.
£279 was raised for such a worthwhile and important charity. Well done everyone!
Celebration and Achievement Evening and YE HA Show!
P3-7 put on a spectacular Western show called YE HA!
There was fantastic singing by everyone and also great solos too.
We had gun fights, devious mayors and hero cooks!
This was all followed by our Celebration and Achievement Evening .
Well done to everyone who took part (even P1/2 for extra singing voices) and to everyone who won awards on the night!
Castle Drive Bike Ride
A big thank you to Alice and her volunteers from Bikeability Scotland who came along and arranged our cycle ride around the Castle Drive.
This was a great achievement for some of our children who were so proud that they were able to cycle the three mile distance!
Thank you to all the parents who came along and supported this event.
Braco Fun Day
We had a fabulous day in the park!
The children were able to participate in archery, play on a bouncy castle, play numerous games, do art and crafts, run a mini assault course, get their face painted and in the afternoon they were able to walk with alpacas!
For lunch we all had a lovely barbecue provided by Tayside Contracts.
