Blackford’s Senior Citizens came into school for their Christmas lunch (very tasty – thank you Mrs Nicholson, Ms Forsyth and the P7 Tartan Patrollers). This was followed by our P3 pupils playing games with them – a very enjoyable time for everyone!
P6/7 had a fabulous trip to the Sky studios in Livingstone.
The class predicted the skills they though they would need –
and they used them all .. and more…….creativity, problem solving, time management.
Pupils worked together to produce a series of news reports, they all had a role to play – camera operator, interviewer, director, editor….

Thank you to Karen Yearsley, Learn Wild, for providing a fun ‘woodland puppet making’ workshop after school at the beginning of this term. The workshop was funded by the National Lottery Fund, Awards for All Scotland.
Thanks to funding obtained from the National Lottery Fund, Awards for All Scotland, we have been able to buy a lovely new outdoor classroom, and lots of exciting resources to use in it.
The first of three workshops has been planned for Tuesday 24th October – a Family Puppet Making Workshop. Places are limited so please let us know if you would like to come along.
What a great turnout for breakfast this morning! We had lots of families cycling or scooting to school and are now looking forward to what Robyn, Sustrans I Bike Officer, has planned for the rest of the year.
Our Guardians of the Garden worked hard to produce two entries in the Gardening Scotland Festival. We are very grateful to Nicki Sinclair, Karen Yearsley, Andrew Sinclair and Drew Sinclair for all their help with the project. Both entries were awarded silver medals – very well deserved.
Congratulations to Eleanor on being runner up in the Auchterarder & District Young Writers Competition. Eleanor was presented with her award at a ceremony at Auchterarder Gold Club on Thursday evening.
