Gala Fun!

The Parent Council’s theme for the Gala Parade this year was to decorate your bike. Who know how creative our families are! Fantastic.

Rotary Young Writer Winner

Well done to Eleanor who was presented with awards for winning both her own age category and the overall competition in the Rotary Young Writer’s competition – a brilliant achievement!

Thinking Day

Our Guide, Brownies, Rainbows and Beaver celebrated Thinking Day today – a time to think about members of the Guide/Scout communities around the world.

The 22nd of February was chosen as the date for Thinking Day because it was the mutual birthday of Lord Baden-Powell, founder of the Boy Scout Movement, and his wife Olave, who served as World Chief Guide.

Burns Lunch

We had a lovely school lunch on Burns day, with a performance from the guitar group and a visit from Mr David MacDonald to pipe in the haggis.

Burns / Scots Verse Winners

Well done to all our winners and runners up in this year’s Scots Verse/Burns Recitation competition.

Thank you to our judges – Mrs & Mrs Hoggan, Mrs Robertson and Mr David Brown and Mr Stuart Laing from Blackford Burns Club – who also sponsored the prizes.

‘Cinderella and Rockerfella’

Well done to everyone that took part in last night’s performance of ‘Cinderella & Rockerfella’ – you all worked so hard learning lines and song words. The performance was super and you should all be very proud.

Thank you to everyone that made a donation, a super total of £104.03 was raised. This will be divided between our own school funds and Kobuin Primary School.

I Bike Project

What a great turn out in bright clothing for Hi-Vis Day!

The Bike Crew delivered a great presentation at today’s assembly, highlighting the importance of wearing high visibility clothing when cycling, walking or scooting in the dark, especially important at this time of year in the longer hours of darkness.
