What a lovely evening we had last night.  The atmosphere was just amazing!

The children, led by Miss Glen, were amazing, playing their yukeleles and boomwhackers.  I think everyone would agree that the singing and poetry recitals were also excellent.  We are very pleased to announce that through book sales and the sales of baking, both donated and made by the children, raised an incredible £108.70.  In addition to this there was an anonomous donation of £100 to the school.

I would also like to praise Roxy for inspiring this fundraising effort by suggesting we collect books and sell them.  Herself and Aaron have worked tirelessly to scan all of the donated books from the community and school to sell them to a book company.  The total of these sales has been over £90, which we are delighted with.

Thank you so much for all of your efforts!

We will use the money raised from these endeavors to buy more books that represent the diversity of the world.

We had a fantastic day in Kirkwall, learning about comets and space. The children particularly enjoyed the space quilt that was created for the event. They even decided to create their own when they got back to school the later in the week.
