I hope you have all had a great Easter holiday and are ready for the final term in p1/2.

It was great seeing you all today. 

For extra revision, and to help with reading confidence, I have sent home a laminated sheet of sounds and words the children have been learning this year (this is for the children to keep at home to practise when they can).

I have allocated reading books on Active Learn. I know a few parents mentioned that they prefer reading with their child using physical books they have at home rather than using the online books – this is absolutely OK. 

We have had such a fun day celebrating the last day of school before the Easter holidays. What a fun, enthusiastic and lovely class I have.

There was extra excitement when Mr Green and Mrs Thomson came to tell us we won the Easter quiz from assembly! We have a movie and snack afternoon to look forward to when we are back.

Thanks for all the hard work over the last month or so. Here’s to a happy and chocolate filled Easter! See you all when we get back to school.

We had fun in class spoiling this birthday girl today!

Just a reminder that children can come to school on Thursday in casual clothes. We will have an Easter Fun Day in class!

We have been doing super adding this week. P1’s are learning their number bonds to ten whilst the p2’s have been bridging across ten to help them add quickly.

We have been learning all about ‘time’ this week. We made our own clocks and set them to o’clock.

Please log into Active Learn and read the reading book I have allocated you for homework this week.  Try, if you can, to read a few pages each night.

What great fun for Red Nose Day

We have had great fun this week reading ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’. Today we did a quiz to find out how much we remembered from the book and then made our own tiger pictures. We enjoyed listening to the song on YouTube too.

Just a reminder that on Friday we are celebrating Red Nose Day for Comic relief in school. Children don’t need to bring in any money but can come to school wearing red and/or have crazy hair!
