It’s the first day of March today.

You all worked so hard last week in class.

Please spend some time at home this week reading the book I have allocated you on your Active Learn account. If you try and read a little bit of the book everyday then you will become more fluent by Friday!

Today the p2’s wrote about Fairtrade whilst the p1’s wrote a super sentence with Miss Murray. We all then drew a picture of Fairtrade. We put so much detail into our drawings.

Today we learned some more about Fairtrade and watched a video all about Pablo the Fairtrade Banana 🍌 .

We then made some Fairtrade symbols and Fairtrade bananas to decorate the class.

We have had another hard working day in p1/2. We even managed to dodge the rain for a wee while and get outside for a run about and a play after lunch.

We learned about Fairtrade today. I have set them all a challenge to try and spot the Fairtrade logo on any foods at home or in the shops.

A few people have been asking about P.E. – we are going to try and do some outdoor P.E. each day. There is no need for children to come to school wearing their P.E. kit – they can just participate in their uniform.

Miss Murray was so happy to see everyone!

We did some maths and literacy and went outside to have some fun in the sun. It is like we have never been away!

We have had a really fun day celebrating the end of term and the beginning of the Christmas Holidays.

We made Christmas pictures, had a Christmas disco outside and watched the Woodlands Nativity. The dancing made us feel so good.

Today we watched the  ‘Aladdin’ Pantomime on the big screen. OH YES WE DID.

We even got a tasty ice cream to eat while we watched!

This morning we took part in lots of Christmas activities in class. Then after break time we had a disco outside in the playground and played party games – what a BRILLIANT time we had dancing together.

Just a reminder that tomorrow we are having a Christmas Activity Day in class. Children can come to school wearing their party clothes/something Christmassy.

A ‘party picnic‘ will be provided by the school for each child.
