Monday in p1/2

We have had a great day in p1/2 today – everyone worked SO HARD! We are all getting on really well with our reading – we had a whole afternoon of reading our books. We went outside and spotted some signs of Spring, too. We found buds on the trees, snow drops, crocus and noticed that the weather kept changing from sunny to cloudy!

Friday!

Happy Friday everyone – have a great weekend.

p1/2 worked hard this week. We spent this afternoon setting goals for our work next week. I was really impressed with the goals that the children set for themselves.

Next Friday is Red Nose Day – children can come to school wearing something red and, if they would like to, have crazy hair too!

Spring Tree

We changed our class charter tree into a Spring tree today. The children came up with all the ideas of what we could do to make it look like Spring. Didn’t they do a BRILLIANT job? We are very proud of it!

World Book Day 📚 🌎

Today we celebrated World Book Day. We told the class about our favourite books and then did a quiz online to test our knowledge of children’s books. We designed a front cover for our very own book – they were BRILLIANT and Miss Murray said she would definitely pick them in the library to read.

Ouch!

Today we told each other stories about a time when we hurt ourselves. We included details of where, what, when and who in our stories. Miss Murray was SO proud of us. Our stories were AMAZING with lots and lots of detail. We planned our stories today and drew a picture of them. Tomorrow we will write our story in our jotter.
