Today we celebrated Eco Day and learned all about being eco friendly.

We did different Eco activities in Miss Donald’s class, our own class and even got to back to the nursery for an activity!

With Miss Donald we learned all about saving energy and made a poster. With Miss Murray we grew cress heads in recycled pots and then wrote instructions – the cress should be grown by next Friday we hope.

Today we did more work on telling the time.

We learned how to tell the time when it is o’clock on a digital and analogue clock.

This morning we had great fun playing in our new ‘Fairtrade Cafe’ in the Learning Zone.

In the afternoon we watched a video that taught us all about Fairtrade and made Fairtrade pictures.

We then had a tasty pancake to celebrate Shrove Tuesday!

Today, as part of our topic, we compared toys from the past to our toys now.

We then mixed paint and used fine brush strokes to paint different toys from the past.

There was lots of concentration.

Today we learned all about clocks and how to tell the time when it is ‘o’clock’.

We then made our very own clocks by writing the numbers on our clock face, cutting out 2 hands and setting the time.

We decorated them afterwards.

Today in numeracy the p2’s learned about odd and even numbers and the primary 1’s learned about the story of 10.

This afternoon we were thoroughly entertained at ‘Woodlands Got Talent’.

Well done to everyone that got up on stage and performed. What a great show you all put on.

Today we read ‘Tiger Who Came to Tea’ by Judith Kerr.

We then listened to this singalong song on YouTube and  danced along to it.

Afterwards we created our own ‘Tiger Tea’ pictures.
