Writing Tuesday

Just like we do in class on a Tuesday, today we are going to be writing sentences about a picture.

Warm up:

• Watch and join in with Jack Hartmans sentence rap.

• Tell someone at home how you write a sentence. What do you need to remember?

Main Task:

• Look at the picture below.  Talk about it with someone at home. What do you see? What is happening in the picture?

• Write a story about the picture using sentences.

• Remember capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.

• Remember to sound out your words and ‘have a go’ at writing them.

• Write your letters neatly on the line and keep reading your sentence back to make sure you haven’t missed any words.

Extra Challenge:

• Try to include a joining word in your story to join two sentences together – and, so, but, because.

• Can you include any th words?
