As part of the Scottish Book Trust’s Bookbug programme every primary 1 and primary 2 pupil has been given a free bag of books and resources to encourage reading, writing and counting at home.
Book Week Scotland is next week but since it is an Inservice day on Monday and Tuesday we handed out the bags today.

Primary 2’s did it with numbers all the way to 100 and the Primary 1’s used numbers within 20.

Our p2’s have been enjoying playing our new literacy games this week.
Their favourite game was the spelling jigsaws.
Today we did some more work on 2D shapes. We then made our own firework rockets using different 2D shapes.
Some of us used the hammer and nails to make pictures with the shapes.

In maths we have been learning all about different shapes and in our topic we have been learning about different world religions.
Today we made a church using different shapes. We even added a beautiful stained glass window which we coloured in.
