Today in Primary 4

Today in Big Reading, we enjoyed reading Chapter 12 – Mr Kranky’s Great Idea. We have been learning to summarise the main events using bullet points and then expanding them to retell in our own words, making links to Drama.

Well done to this week’s homework stars, CMcC andTR who used craft/ outdoor materials toΒ create a festive wreath. Also to NS who followed a festive recipe and baked Gingerbread Men. Well Done! πŸ™‚

Communication

This morning we were focusing on our ‘Skill of the Month’ which is Communication. We have learned that ‘Communicating’ is more than just ‘Active Listening.’ In the classroom we took part in activities that showed us: paying attention, having good eye contact, showing positive body language, speaking clearly, taking turns, making choices of the correct language, asking good questions and sharing and respecting opinions and demonstrating ways we can be a ‘Good Communicator.’
