Today during ICT, we focused on the different types of work the emergency services do to help us. As part of Developing Our Young Work Force, the whole school is focusing on the emergency services. During Maths, we have been developing our place value skills. We had fun matching 3 and 4 digit pictures, words and numbers to their pairs as today’s plenary. Our new challenge on ‘Number of the Day’ is to change numbers to words and ordinals.

Well done to last night’s homework stars who completed Sumdog for 20 minutes and reading for 20 minutes. Remember you do not need to take photos of this as I can check pupil activity. I am looking forward to reading your research.

Today, Primary 4 have been learning to: read and say French numbers to 21 with good pronunciation. Also, we enjoyed taking part in some number games and even won at Lotto. Très Bien!

Can I also say a HUGE congratulations to everyone in our class for their excellent effort in this week’s Maths Sumdog Scotland Challenge.

Our class came 318th in the leaderboard out of 6240 classes, all playing together, across schools in Scotland. I am so proud of your effort to improve your Math skills and I hope you enjoyed your treat. Well done super stars!
