P7 have been enjoying PE outside and have started playing kick rounders; developing our sprinting skills, kicking and aiming skills, passing and throwing skills and aiming for a target (ball in hoop).
On Friday we enjoyed watching Elf as a class too and will finish it on Monday!
This Friday, is our Christmas Funday as we canโt have our usual Christmas party. The pupils have created their own timetable for the day which is full of art, ICT, PE, games and a movie! We canโt wait!
The pupils have voted for a majority rule of Home Alone, as Home Alone is a PG could I ask any parents who do not wish your child to watch this film, could they please contact the school.
This week in P7 so far we have been learning about Speed, Distance & Time, and how knowing two variables means we can work out the third.
We finished our class novel & Media study; Artemis Fowl and created our displays around the themes of friendship & family.
We have been trying to get outdoors as much as we can and today played Kick Rounders, we also have been trying very hard in our daily mile and have started a weekly leader board, I wonder who will be top this week!
We started WWII and some pupils presented their homework. One pupil shared a family treasure of a heart pendant as a family member was in the war and showed us his picture in his uniform and told us the beautiful love story behind the locket โค๏ธ๐ฅฐ .
Today, P7 designed and created their reindeer antlers for our Reindeer dash to complete their daily mile around the school getting sponsored by their teacher to raise money for CHAS๐๐.
We also enjoyed our Christmas lunch wearing our Christmas jumpers ๐ ๐ผ.
Our star pupil also shared his fantastic Christmas homework teaching the class about the origins of Christmas ๐ ๐ ๐ผ
P7 were continuing to develop their knowledge with Time. Some of us were working out the time to the exact minute on analogue, 12 hour and 24 hour digital, some were calculating durations and some were reading information, working out start times, ends times and durations and creating time tables ๐ ๐ โฐ. We have a new personal best time for a pupil of 8 seconds in our class game of Stop the Clock!! ๐
Today P7 were playing Sumdog, trying to beat their highest scores on Stop the Clock and converting between analogue, 12 hour and 24 hour time and working out durations.
As it was so wet and puddly, we, as a class decided to play whole class games practising our team work, communication, self management, running and dodging skills. We played a version of corners, boiling and Chaos tig this morning ๐โโ๏ธ ๐โโ๏ธ.
Today P7 practised Time again and we had the same pupil with the same personal best of 8 seconds! We will see if he can beat it tomorrow!
We also went back in time to 1914; pupils wrote a letter, postcard or newspaper report about the Christmas Truce from the perspective of a soldier/ reporting from a soldiers perspective ๐ฌ๐งย ๐ฉ๐ช
Today P7 were practising telling the time and converting it from analogue to 12 hour digital and 24 hour digital ๐ฐ. ย We also continued our competition using STOP THE CLOCK! Our pupils personal best is 8 seconds!
